Main Street Lofts III calls for 22 loft apartments on the second and third floors of the building at 34 S. Main St.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA —Phoenixville Borough Council Tuesday night approved the Main Street Lofts III project, which provides 22 loft apartments for veterans at the former masonic hall at 34 S. Main St.
The first floor will remain as a commercial space. The lobby of the apartment building will be located at 209 Church St.
The second and third floors will have 11 loft apartments on each floor. An elevator will be installed. Trash and laundry facilities will be in the basement.

The borough’s planning commission has approved the project.
Burke said the vast majority of the residents will not require parking.
“The borough is walkable,” he said. “That is why this location is ideal.”
Sean Lyons, manager of the project, said if a tenant requires parking he will help the tenant find parking.
Councilman Brian Moore said he fully supports providing affordable housing for veterans in downtown Phoenixville.
“This is a better use of this building,” Moore said. “The vision of putting in 22 loft apartments is very strong. There is probably no need for these tenants to have parking.”
