Phoenixville Gets $900K To Improve Bridge, Starr Streets

The massive investment into Phoenixville's infrastructure will help improve general "quality of life," officials say.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Phoenixville borough will receive a massive $900,000 investment in its infrastructure from the state, funds that will help improve Bridge and Starr streets, officials announced.

The money comes from the state's Multimodal Transportation Funds. Awards are granted following a competitive process between municipalities across the state.

"I’m thrilled to announce that we are continuing to invest in infrastructure projects in Chester County," State Rep. Paul Friel (D-Chester). "This funding will address some key safety, traffic flow and public transportation needs in Phoenixville benefiting the whole community."
