Phoenixville Man Killed Over Video Game Dispute, DA Says: Latest Updates

The investigation continues after two friends, playing video games in the middle of the night, ended in bloodshed.

SCHUYLKILL TOWNSHIP, PA — Authorities are continuing to investigate after a Phoenixville man shot and killed his friend over a video game dispute, authorities said.

The incident occurred on Nov. 8 at around 3:27 a.m. on Westhorpe Lane in Phoenixville.

Holden Hoffsis, 21, and the victim, Daniel Gray got into an argument over the game, police said. Hoffsis then shot him in the chest, killing him, authorities said.

Marijuana, cocaine, and drug packaging material were found in Hoffsis's home.

“This case is another sad example of how the mix of drugs and guns leads to violence and death," Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said in a statement.

Hoffsis was booked at Chester County Prison without bail.
