Phoenixville Soccer Star Chooses Temple
Lauren Benner was named Pioneer Athletic Conference Player of the Year and is a member of the PA All-State Team.

One of Phoenixville Area High School’s top soccer players has announced her intentions for the fall, just days before graduation. officially signing her commitment to attend Temple.
Lauren Benner has announced she will attend Temple University in the fall and play soccer for the Owls during a signing ceremony at the high school.
“I love that Temple is in the city, but doesn’t feel like an urban school,” said Benner. “In addition to the Fox School of Business and the soccer program, Temple offered everything I wanted in a University.”

Benner was the Pioneer Athletic Conference Player of the Year, a member of the PA All-State Team and a regional All-American while playing for the Phantoms.
“A player like Lauren Benner doesn’t come around very often,” said Head Coach Tim Raub. “Her commitment and dedication to this program have helped make Phoenixville a recognized name in the league and district. We are a better program because of her.”
