Phoenixville YMCA to Host Battle of the Badges
Phoenixville and Schuylkill Township police are participating in a blood drive for the American Red Cross at the Phoenixville YMCA.
PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The Phoenixville YMCA is calling all first responders and their supporters to roll up their sleeves for the Battle of the Badges on Monday, Sept. 25.
“The Battle of the Badges” builds community and camaraderie among local first responders through a friendly competition to see who can recruit the most blood donors.
American Red Cross as it accepts donations from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Phoenixville YMCA, 400 E. Pothouse Road, Phoenixville.

Phoenixville and Schuylkill Township police representatives will be on-site competing to highlight the importance of blood bank support, encourage donations, and thank supporters.
“We’re very excited to be part of this important and friendly competition," Matt Student, executive director of the Phoenixville YMCA. "Our first responders work so hard, every day, to protect and serve. Making sure that local blood banks have the stores they need is a natural extension of that, and we’re happy to have their backs in this fight."
