Police: Man Arrested for DUI After Falling Asleep in McDonald's Drive-Thru

A Mont Clare man was arrested earlier this month after police say he fell asleep, drunk, in a McDonald’s drive-thru. 

According to court documents, on January 19 at 2 a.m., Phoenixville Police received report of a man asleep in a pickup truck at the McDonald’s on 651 Nutt Road. Upon arrival, the officer noted that the driver, Shane Yonkoske, 27, smelled like alcohol, had glassy eyes, and seemed lethargic.

Yonkoske took field sobriety testing, and was arrested for DUI and taken to Phoenixville Hospital to have blood drawn for testing.

He was charged with four counts of DUI, an additional count of careless driving, and is awaiting preliminary hearing.
