Services Announced For Phoenixville Police Officer Killed In Crash

"He will be sorely missed." Tributes continue to pour in for the beloved young officer who died over the weekend after attending a funeral.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Memorial services for the Phoenixville police officer killed in a crash over the weekend have been announced.

Officer Arthur "Art" Scena was 39.

The event, entitled "Artie's Life Celebration," will take place at Our Lady of Guadeloupe Church in Doylestown on Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to noon. Time will be set aside at noon for family and friends to share stories of Scena.

The community response to Scena's death has been massive. As of early Wednesday, some $75,000 has already been raised by a GoFundMe, which will support his wife, Amanda and their two young daughters Riley and Reese.

Tributes poured in from police departments and emergency services from around the region. A Phoenixville eatery, Your Mom's Place, is donating 10 percent of their sales on Friday to the GoFundMe.

"We mourn Art not just as a Phoenixville Police officer, but as a friend of the Your Mom’s Place team," the restaurant shared.

"Art was a great guy and always ready to assist us when we needed it," the Schuylkill Township Police Department shared. "His laugh was infectious and he will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of working with him."

The crash occurred Sunday night in Warminster in Bucks County, as Scena was leaving a memorial service for another fallen officer.

The church where Scena's service will be held is located on 5194 Cold Spring Creamery Road in Doylestown.
