Suspect Accused Of Weekend Shooting In Phoenixville

A Bucks County man is in Paoli Hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the hip.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — A 26-year-old man is in Chester County Prison Monday in lieu of $1 million bail accused of shooting a Bucks County man following an argument Friday night in a tavern in downtown Phoenixville.

Savelen Frazier-Sallad is awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled on Oct. 10 before District Judge James C. Kovaleski on aggravated assault, attempted murder, and related charges.

The victim, who resides in Quakertown, was taken to Paoli Hospital for treatment. His condition was not available.

Police said Frazier-Sallad of Conshohocken was arguing with the victim in PJ Ryan's Pub, 233 Bridge St., just before midnight Friday.

The two were then told to leave the tavern, and as they were walking outside Frazier-Sallad shot the victim in the hip in the 200 block of Bridge Street.

Frazier-Sallad fled the scene after the shooting and called police minutes later to turn himself in.
