Trees Falling On Phoenixville Power Lines Put Out Power

PECO is working to restore power to more than 70 Phoenixville homes after trees fell on power lines along Manavon Street Tuesday afternoon.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — PECO reported power outages Tuesday afternoon in the area of Manavon Street in Phoenixville Borough because of downed trees or limbs.

PECO said 45 customers were impacted on Manavon Street and another 28 were out of power along Starr Street. At 3:30 p.m. Tuesday PECO estimated power would be restored by 6 p.m.

The Phoenixville Fire Department alerted residents that Manavon Street (Route 29) is closed between Starr Street and Sixth Avenue at B Street. The Fire Department said the closure is "due to a large tree branch hanging on power lines over the roadway."
