Voters Trickle In Phoenixville Recreation Center
Chester County voters are electing judges, municipal government officials and school board members in the 2023 May primary.
PHOENIXVILLE, PA— Voters trickled into the Phoenixville Recreation Center Tuesday morning to cast ballots in the May primary.
One-by-one they arrived throughout the morning at the brand new state-of-art recreation center to vote in precincts 463 and 462 in the North Ward of Phoenixville.
By 11:30 a.m., a total of 77 voters cast ballots.

Polls are open until 8 p.m. so there is still time to vote.
David Strenfel, an attorney, and his law partner Jonathon Luff, greeted the Democratic votes in the primary.

“This is a very light turnout,” Strenfel said. “This is the first time I voted for myself.”
Strenfel is running for the borough council to represent the North Ward. He was not contested in the primary
Strenfel said he decided to run for council because he loves downtown Phoenixville and would like to participate in fixing any issues.
On the other side of the entrance, Pauline Avicolli and her husband, Tony, were waiting to greet Republican voters.
“People aren’t asking much about the candidates,” Pauline Avicolli shared.
Kathlene Kane, judge of elections for 463 precinct predicted the turnout would remain slow all day.
“It’s slow and steady,” Kane said. “We haven’t had any rush.”
Chris Powers, judge of elections for precinct 462 said it was very slow with just 27 voters casting ballots.
