PHOENIXVILLE, PA —Water World, once a fun place to take children to cool off on a hot, summer day in Phoenixville, is back on the market.

The public swimming pool with lots of water slides, a snack bar, a rope swing, and a picnic area is gone.

The 22-acre site has been leveled off and is on the market for $2.8 million, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported this week.

On Thursday morning, an employee from a nearby landscaping business said the pool was filled in with dirt two weeks ago.

“I can still remember the slides from when I was young,” the woman, Deb S., said. “It was really nice.”

The public pool along Route 724 closed a decade ago. It’s near Valley Forge Park and the King of Prussia Mall.

The land was purchased five years ago by Kim and Steve Peltier of Wayne, who put the property on the market for commercial or residential development, according to the Business Journal.

Geoffrey Moody of KW Commercial, who has the listing, is marketing the property as a development site for commercial and residential uses, particularly senior housing.
