Five Things You Need to Know This Week
Patch gives you a rundown of what's going on around the community.

1. Pine-Richland Middle School and High School Orchestra Spring Concert
Now that spring finally has sprung, give your ears a treat. The Pine-Richland Middle School and High School orchestra will perform its spring concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 9 at the high school auditorium.
2. Boys Lacrosse Game in Honor of Maria Ciarrocca
The Pine-Richland High School Boys Lacrosse program is hosting the "HEADstrong" event to honor PRHS student Maria Ciarrocca on Friday, April 12. Maria was diagnosed with cancer last November.
The junior varsity game kicks off at 6 p.m. at Pine-Richland stadium and the varsity game is at 7:30 p.m.

There will be raffles, auctions and goodies at the game. Participants will also be able to purchase Pine-Richland apparel.
Players will all wear special decals on helmets and special socks at the event. Proceeds benefit the HEADStrong Organization in honor of Maria.

3. Spring Leaf Collection Day in Richland Township
Richland’s Spring Leaf Collection Day is Wednesday, April 10. The spring collection will include bagged garden residue, vegetative material and tree trimmings that are tied/bound bunches.
Leaf bags are sold at the Richland Township Municipal Office. The cost is $2.10 per pack/five bags per pack. All bags must be out prior to 6 a.m. on the day of pick up.
All items/leaves must be in biodegradable paper bags for pick up. Plastic bags are not acceptable.
4. Princess Tea Party
Bring your special little princess (ages 4-7) to the Pine Community Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 13 for this fun-filled event with games, crafts, nail painting and much more.
There is a $20 fee for center members and a $35 fee for non-members. Â Â
5. Bootlegger's Ball at Northern Tier Library
Northern Tier Library in Richland will host a Bootlegger’s Ball at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 13.
When you purchase your ticket, you'll receive the password to gain entry into the event. Get into the spirit of the evening by coming in 1920s or 1930s apparel and take part in the costume contest.
The event also features dinner, jazz music, dancing casino games, photographs, a floor show and a bar featuring wine, beer and vintage cocktails.
Tickets are $35 and are available at the library and online by clicking here. Proceeds benefit the library.
