AIM Academy In Conshohocken Receives A $1 Million State Grant For Redevelopment Project
The school, which is based in Conshohocken, caters to children in grades 1 through 12 who have language-based learning challenges.

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — AIM Academy, a research-to-practice educational institution that caters to students in first through 12th grade with language-based learning differences, has secured a $1 million grant to help it expand.
The office of State Rep. Mary Jo Daley, D-148, announced Wednesday that the school was awarded the large amount of state funds, funneled through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program, to help with redevelopment and expansion projects.
Specifically, the grant dollars will go toward a new two-story addition to the academy, which includes new classrooms, offices and collaboration spaces.

The money will also help with replacing an existing parking lot with green space for communal enjoyment.
"AIM Academy's use of novel and innovative means of teaching is helping our young people achieve long-term success," Daley said in a statement. "I'm delighted to see the academy receive this money and continue to grow in being a top-tier institution in our community."

The new state funding will also help AIM renovate existing training and board rooms, update its cafeteria and kitchen, and spruce up the building's fourth floor and lighting.
AIM Academy, on its website, says it is "uniquely positioned to be on the forefront of cutting edge advances in educating children who learn differently. Accommodations alone will not allow our students to soar; it is imperative that we equip AIM learners with the full benefit instructional strategies that will allow them to excel in their chosen professions."
The school says it has an advisory board of "world renowned researchers," and that it is "driven by the belief that children, who learn differently, challenge conventional ways of thinking."
The state's Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program, according to Rep. Daley's office, is a grant program, which is administered through the Office of the Budget, that is geared toward helping with the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects.
