3 Charged, 1 Wanted After Montco Street Racing 'Takeover' Draws Hundreds
A massive crowd of hundreds blocked a busy intersection, performing stunts in their vehicles while shooting off fireworks.

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — Three out-of-state individuals face criminal charges while three more were cited for their involvement in a "takeover" of a busy intersection by street racers in Plymouth Township over the summer. One of the suspects remains on the run and wanted.
The incident occurred on Sunday, June 15 at around 8:03 p.m. near the intersection of Ridge Pike, Chemical Road, and North Lane.
The massive group completely blocked traffic, shot off fireworks, ran donuts through the intersection, and performed various stunts like ghost riding, drifting, and burnouts, police said.

Marco Mirkovic of Newark, Delaware, Gabriel Hernandez of Pennsauken, New Jersey, and Amar Abdalhamad Amar of Arnold, Maryland have been charged with reckless endangerment, reckless driving, illegal racing, and related traffic offenses.
Out of the hundreds of bystanders authorities said attended the event, police identified three of them and charged them with vehicle code violations for blocking the roadway.

Pedestrians arrived and began "circling" the intersection, while some vehicles blocked traffic and others sped and spun uncontrollably around the area with passengers hanging out the windows, officials said.
All vehicles and pedestrians fled the area when police arrived. No injuries were reported.
A preliminary hearing was held on Oct. 21 for all three, though Mirkovic failed to show and is currently wanted by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
