PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — An Alzheimer's patient from Philadelphia is participating in what is being termed a groundbreaking clinical study being conducted by a Plymouth Meeting-based physician.
The doctor who is working on the clinical study to try and treat patients suffering from the debilitating Alzheimer's disease is Cherian Verghese, and one of the patients participating in the study is local resident Linda Dzuba.
Verghese, a principal researcher with Philadelphia's Keystone Clinical Studies, has a personal connection to the illness: his mother died from the disease five years ago.
