Applicants Are Being Sought To Fill A Vacant Seat On The Colonial School Board

The Colonial School Board has a vacant seat effective December 1. Letters of interest are being accepted from individuals looking to apply.

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — A vacancy exists on the Colonial School Board as of Dec. 1 and applicants are currently being sought to fill the role of school director.

The school board says it is now accepting letters of interest from community members who are interested in serving on the panel.

Eligible applicants must be 18 years of age or older, a citizen of the commonwealth, and they must have resided within the district for at least one year prior to their date of appointment.

All letters of interest must be submitted by Dec. 13 at 12 p.m. and the school board plans to conduct interviews after all submissions are in.

The new board member is expected to be appointed at the Dec. 16 school board meeting at 6 p.m., which will be held on the first floor of Colonial Elementary School, 230 Flourtown Road, Plymouth Meeting.

The appointment will be effective Dec. 16 until the term expires at the time of the next municipal election in December 2023.

Anyone interested in the position can submit a letter of interest addressed to The Colonial Board of School Directors, care of Superintendent Michael Christian, 230 Flourtown Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
