Police Obtain Arrest Warrant For Man Wanted In Connection With Plymouth Wawa Shooting

Plymouth Township police have obtained an arrest warrant for Kyeem Sheirron Whitt, charging him with attempted murder for Wawa shooting.

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — Police have obtained an arrest warrant for a man they say was involved in a shooting at a local Wawa this past Sunday.

Kyeem Sheirron Whitt, 26, who is last known to have resided in Norristown Borough, is being charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting at the Wawa at 1300 Ridge Pike on Sept. 26 around 3:30 a.m.

Police had been called to the scene for a report of numerous shots fired at the location.

Upon arrival, officers entered the inside of the Wawa to find two injured individuals who had been struck by gunfire, according to a Plymouth Township Police news release.

The injured persons were treated at the scene by Plymouth officers and medics from Plymouth Community Ambulance Association, and were later taken to Paoli Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police say they are continuing to investigate whether there was any relationship between the victims and the shooter prior to the incident.

An arrest warrant was signed and issued by District Judge Francis Bernhardt for Kyeem Whitt charging him with criminal attempt at homicide and related offenses, according to police, who were assisted in the investigation by Montgomery County detectives as well as officers with the Whitemarsh, Conshohocken and Norristown police departments.

Police said that members of the Plymouth Fire Company also responded and assisted at the scene of the investigation on Sunday.
