Attempted Dump Truck Theft Reported in Whitemarsh

The Whitemarsh Township Police Department is investigating the attempted theft of a dump truck on Harts Lane overnight on May 19.

A victim, who live on the 2000 block of Harts Lane, contacted police around 8 a.m. on May 20 and reported that someone attempted to steal his 1994 Ford Dump truck overnight, according to police.

Officers located a canvas bag next to the truck and a drill was found inside the vehicle; there was significant damage to the ignition as a result of being drilled.
