Richard Carpenter Jr., a Plymouth Meeting small business owner, has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the Colonial School Board.
PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — A local man has been chosen to fill a vacancy on the Colonial School Board that was created due to the resignation of a prior school director.
The Colonial Board of School Directors has announced that Richard Carpenter Jr. has been selected to fill out the term of Beth Suchsland, who resigned from the body back in February.
Carpenter, whose appointment was made during a special board meeting this past Monday, is a small business owner who runs a company that provides technology consulting and network security for other small and medium sized businesses in the region, according to the school district.

Carpenter was selected among a slate of four candidates. He was chosen by a unanimous vote and will be sworn into office at the next general meeting of the school board on March 17.
