Colonial School District Offering COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Aug. 18
The district will sponsor a vaccination clinic at Colonial Elementary School for those interested in getting the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — The Colonial School District will be offering a free family COVID-19 vaccination clinic mid-next week.
The clinic, which is open to students ages 12 and older, as well as adults, will take place next Wednesday Aug. 18 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Colonial Elementary School gym.
Students under the age of 18 who ARE interested in receiving the vaccine must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and those who attend the clinic must be prepared to wait for a period of 15 minutes after receiving the shot since this is protocol to ensure individuals suffer no adverse reaction to the shot.

The vaccine made by drug company Pfizer will be the one administered at the clinic, so participants must be aware that they will need to be available to schedule a second appointment on Friday Sept. 10 to be given another shot as the Pfizer vaccine requires two doses for maximum effectiveness.
All those who attend the clinic must adhere to mask-wearing and social distancing requirements.
