'Hotel West & Main' Opens In Conshohocken, First New Hotel In 22 Years
The hotel addition completes SORA West, a transit-oriented, mixed use development project being built in Conshohocken Borough.

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — This eastern Montgomery County borough just got its first new hotel in more than two decades, the addition of Hotel West & Main serving as the final piece in a mixed-use development in this town along the Schuylkill River.
Hotel West & Main, which is a 127-room boutique hotel operating under the brand Tapestry Collection By Hilton that opened last week in Conshohocken, helps to complete the SORA West development by Keystone Development + Investment, which is a 520,000-square-foot mixed-use project that includes an 11-story office building and the adaptive reuse of a 148-year-old historic firehouse, according to a news release.
Construction of the new hotel — the first to open in Conshohocken in 22 years — began during the COVID-19 pandemic and includes a rooftop bar and lounge overlooking the new SORA West outdoor plaza that is expected to host various live music performances and other events.

"It would have been hard to predict what we see before us today at Conshohocken's gateway when we bought the site in 2003," Keystone Development + Investment founder and chief executive officer Bill Glazer said in a statement. "As our shared vision took shape, the strength of our expertise and partnerships put us on a course to develop one of the most transformational projects during one of the most challenging times. We are proud to stand with the community today and marvel at what we've created together. It will welcome residents and visitors for generations to come."
Keystone president and chief operating officer Rich Gottlieb said the hotel has a "classic style and a vibrant personality on its own," and that it would help to serve as an inviting access point to visitors and business travelers coming to downtown Conshohocken.
The historic firehouse that was revamped as part of the project will be connected to the new hotel via a first-floor dining area with outdoor terrace.
The restaurant, dubbed 1874 Social, was named for the same year when the Washington Fire Company opened at the site in the 19th century.
The firehouse, named on the National Register of Historic Places, also helped to inspire a second-floor gastropub at the hotel, called the Hook & Ladder Skybar.
The hotel also has a 4,000-square-foot dining and retail space area that is currently up for lease inside of the building.
Anyone interested in leasing the space can call 610-980-7000.
