New Conshohocken Fire, EMS Facility Moves To Next Step In Development
The new facility in downtown Conshohocken will combine together the borough's two fire departments.
CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Conshohocken is continuing to take important steps forward in one of the borough's most important construction projects, the development of a new public safety facility on Fayette Street.
Last month, the borough put out a request for applications for an architect to oversee the project. This week, they announced request for proposals for both bond counsel and municipal financial advisory services on the project.
The new building will house both fire and EMS services for Conshohocken.

The project will develop the site at 1109-1119 Fayette Street, where an abandoned car wash is located.
The new facility will be the home of both the Washington Fire Company and Conshohocken Fire Company #2, both of which faced issues expanding and modernizing their current facilities.

"They (the fire companies) are very enthusiastic about this proposal, as it relieves them of the burden of managing their own stations and allows them to focus solely on protecting residents," the borough stated. "They can get out of the real estate business and devote all their energies to being first responders."
An exact timeline for the project has not yet been announced.
