Conshy Relay for Life Board Recognized for Commitment

The event, on May 18, has raised over $25K and counting for the American Cancer Society.

The board members of the Conshohocken Relay for Life on May 18 at Sutcliffe Park in Conshohocken have a lot to do in preparation – coordinate security, sponsorship, team development, survivorship, luminary , food and beverage, and more, all while helping team captains who help to raise money for cancer research

That's why, when asked for volunteers to recognize in honor of National Volunteer Week from April 21-27, readers responded and asked to recognize the group.

Tammy Tarloski, a co-chair of the event, has stood out among the board members to one reader.

“This is a woman that has a young son, full time job and another child on the way who can still find time to be in attendance for every meeting, regularly cheering on all committee members for their individual efforts and non-stop brainstorming ways to make this year even better than years past,” the reader said.

There are currently 25 teams and 196 participants involved in the event, which has raised over $25,000.
