Conshohocken to Rededicate Aubrey Collins Park Saturday

A ceremony will be held at the Elm Street at 1 p.m., on the 20th anniversary of the death of Conshohocken resident Aubrey Collins.

 

Conshohocken Borough will celebrate the rededication of the Aubrey Collins, Jr. Memorial Park, located on Elm Street between Ash and Poplar Streets on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m.

According to Ward Two Councilman Ike Griffin, the park will be rededicated with a new sign, and refreshments will be available.

The ceremony, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the death of Collins, who was struck by a truck in Conshohocken, will be held at 1 p.m.

Mayor Bob Frost, the Conshohocken Borough Council, and the Conshohocken Parks Committee are sponsoring the event.

“It’s going to be a brilliant, happy Conshy day,” said Conshohocken Council President Paul McConnell.

In December, the Conshohocken Shade Tree Commission planted new trees on the property of the park.
