Developer Looks To Build 85-Foot Office Tower, Complex In Conshohocken

Developers have a five acre parcel on the Schuylkill River.

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Developers are seeking zoning flexibility from Conshohocken to build an 85-foot office tower and expansive business complex along the Schuylkill River.

The Millennium IV plot, owned by a subsidiary of Morgan Properties, is located just off of 235 Washington Street near the riverfront.

A meeting addressing the zoning and permissions for the property will be held by the Conshohocken Zoning Hearing Board on March 17.

Specifically, the meeting calls for a zoning variance to build up to 85 feet high in that location, as well as permission for impervious coverage — ground covered by a non-natural surface — up to 79 percent. The property is zoned for only 70 percent impervious coverage.

Often these figures are related to flood concerns and groundwater issues, both of which are concerns in densely developed communities along the Schuylkill River.
