Eileen T. (McDonough) Retter, of Normandy Farms Estates, Blue Bell, formerly of Lafayette Hill, died Thursday, Nov. 21. She was 96.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nellie Hunichen McDonough. She was the widow of Charles W. Retter Jr.
Retter was a 1935 graduate of West Catholic Girls High School. During World War II, she worked as a civilian employee of the Marine Corps in Philadelphia.

She was a former volunteer for the Meals on Wheels Program.

Retter is survived by four sons, Charles T. of Exton, Alan G. of Hollis, N.H., Robert W. of Buena Park, Calif., and Bruce J. Retter of Chapel Hill, N.C.; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call Wednesday, Nov. 27 from noon to 1 p.m. at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill. A funeral Mass will follow at 1 p.m.
