Emergency Crews Respond to 4-Vehicle Metroplex Crash

At least one driver was injured; a PennSTAR helicopter was on the scene.

 

A four-vehicle crash at the intersection of Chemical and Gallagher roads in Plymouth Township snarled traffic in the area for over an hour Saturday morning while emergency crews worked to help those with injuries an clear the scene.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, the crash occured just before 11 a.m. on Saturday, and at least one vehicle occupant was seen being wheeled into an ambulance.

A PennSTAR helicopter landed in the Metroplex parking, and was surrounded by emergency vehicles.

Traffic was blocked heading south on Chemical Road, and was backed up in the northbound lane through Germantown Pike.
