Few Details in Flourtown Blaze
The weekend fire on Bethlehem Pike affected several businesses, but didn't cause any injuries.
No one was injured in a 4-alarm fire that struck a strip mall in Flourtown, according to Springfield Township Fire Marshal Charles Baily, but there aren’t many more details about the blaze.
Baily said the fire started Saturday at about 10:30 p.m. and was largely confined to the Flourtown Pizza Restaurant, though three other businesses, including a beauty salon, a Chinese/Japanese restaurant and a dry cleaner business, were boarded up and cordoned off with yellow tape Monday afternoon.
Cleanup crews were on hand Monday afternoon at the strip mall, which is located in the 1600 block of Bethlehem Pike, but no business owners appeared to be around.
