Firefighters Battle Early Morning Whitemarsh House Fire Tues.
Volunteer firefighters with a handful of area departments battled an early morning house fire on Tues. The home's occupants were uninjured.
WHITEMARSH, PA — Firefighters responded to an early-morning house fire on the 3000 block of Spring Mill Road in Whitemarsh Township Tuesday.
Volunteers with Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) were dispatched to a dwelling fire around 12:24 a.m., according to information provided by the fire company.
Police officers and firefighters who arrived on scene noticed heavy fire coming from an attached garage at the home, with flames eventually making their way up to the second-floor roofline.

Firefighters were ultimately able to mostly contain the fire to the garage, the department stated.
The fire was brought under control within about an hour and all of the home’s occupants were safely removed from the residence with no injuries reported to the first responders, according to fire officials.

In addition to Plymouth Fire Company, others assisting at the scene were Conshohocken Fire Company No. 2’s Engine 55, Flourtown Fire Company’s Squad and Ladder 6, Fort Washington Fire Company No. 1’s Engine 88, Barren Hill Fire Company’s Engine and Tower 29, Harmonville Fire Company No. 1’s Engine 44 and Spring Mill Fire Company No. 1’s Squad 45.
