Thanksgiving came early for more than 325 families of Carson Valley Children’s Aid (CVCA). During November, staff members and members of the community donated traditional Thanksgiving meal trimmings to help set the Thanksgiving table of the children and families served by the organization.
“The outpouring of community support this year has been overwhelming,” Joe Niezgoda, Interim CEO, Carson Valley Children’s Aid, said. “Knowing that families who may not be in a position to provide Thanksgiving dinner are enjoying a warm meal and the spirit of the season is heart-warming.”
The mission of Carson Valley Children Aid is to support children and families to Learn, Heal and Grow by offering a full continuum of quality services that include: prevention, early intervention, academic, mental health and child welfare services.
