Conshy St. Patrick's Day Parade Turns Out Thousands, Despite Flurries
Irish eyes were shining Saturday, even if the sun was not.
Many of the locals who were praying to St. Patrick for good weather prior to the start of the Conshohocken St. Patrick’s Day Parade may not have gotten exactly what they asked for, but there was no heavy rain, which allowed thousands to gather along Fayette Street to celebrate.
Irish organizations from the region, including Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH), Notre Dame Division 1, which sponsored the parade, were on hand with bagpipes, Irish Flags, and, of course, St. Patrick-This year’s theme was “Great and Glorious St. Patrick."

After organizations, including local elected officials, businesses, and civic organizations, filed down the street, the celebrations continued at local bars.
The AOH’s band, Irish Thunder, went on to play at Spamp’s and Guppy’s (which was renamed O’Gups for the day), and parade goers flooded local restaurants and bars to celebrate.
