Fossil Theft Reported in Whitemarsh, Police Say

The Whitemarsh Township Police Department is investigating a report of stolen fossils from a display table at LuLu Temple on Butler Pike during the Philadelphia Mineral Treasures and Fossil Fair.

A fossil ammonite and an alaundrusen alum geode were taken from table on April 6 between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The items were worth roughly $125.

Members of the Mineralogical Society and the Delaware Paleontological Society featured specimens from their personal collections during the fair, which ran April 5-6.
