The new owners, who own Devil's Den in South Philadelphia and Old Eagle Tavern in Manayunk, are planning a summer reopening.

The General Lafayette Inn & Brewery will reopen this summer as the Barren Hill Tavern.
As first reported by Patch, the historic restaurant was under agreement, with a pending liquor license transfer, as of mid-February. On the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board website, it is listed as being transferred to Erin J. Betlejewski and Paul J. Trowbridge.

The restaurant will have a craft beer focus. The duo plan to produce roughly six house beers and carry a large list of other brews. Beers brewed at the General Lafayette will also be available at the Devil's Den and the Old Eagle Tavern.
The neighboring Brittingham's Irish Pub will also re-open after major renovations this summer.
