A meeting was held in February to solicit input from the public; over the past 20 years, the property has been acquired for open space from the Wetherill Family.
The park spans 67 acres along Narcissa Road, and includes a scenic area for recreation, paths, streams, a butterfly garden and a picnic pavilion.
