Deanna and Jon Parkton Fell in Love with Each Other - and Conshohocken

Patch asked our readers for love stories on Valentine's Day, and Deanna Parkton shared her story with husband Jon (that started in 4th grade!) – and their mutual love of Conshohocken.

Deanna Parkton shared the story of how she and husband Jon fell in love with each other – and then with Conshohocken.

The Parktons met in fourth grade and were “boyfriend and girlfriend” for a few years, which “included being partners on class projects whenever possible and holding hands a few times,” according to Deanna.

In 11th grade, they rekindled their romance and fell in love – Jon spent time sneaking through backyards to visit Deanna, who was a neighbor.

During college, they spent a majority of time in a long-distance romance.

“After college graduation, when I was attending graduate school at West Chester and Jon was working in Horsham, we needed to find a place to live in-between both locations,” Deanna said.  “We found Conshohocken and after an evening of apartment searching and dinner at Spamps, we fell in love again - with Conshohocken!”

After spending 3.5 years in the borough, they moved to a family-owned place to save money, and moved right back to their “favorite place – Conshy!”

The lovebirds just made settlement on a home in December, and are now working on a fixer-upper home in Conshohocken.

The attached photo is from their wedding day,  after 10 years of dating and 18 years after meeting.
