WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — A Montgomery County man is now sitting behind bars on $1 million bail after he was charged by police with criminal attempted homicide and other charges following an incident in which he allegedly shot his girlfriend's dad after an altercation, according to media reports and court records.

Records show that Marchese was arraigned before Magisterial District Court Judge Maurice H. Saylor on July 14 on the first set of charges.

The defendant was sent to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post bail $1 million set by the judge.

The More Than The Curve story reports that the victim was initially treated at a local hospital for the gunshot wounds to his leg and was expected to soon be transferred to a rehabilitation facility.

The charges relating to the shooting itself were lodged by the West Conshohocken Police Department while the fleeing and eluding charges were initiated by the West Norriton Township Police Department, court records show.

A preliminary hearing for the shooting charges has been scheduled for July 25 before Judge Saylor while the second set of charges will be addressed during a hearing before Magisterial District Judge Marc Alfarano on Aug. 1, according to court records.
