Mattress Fire in Whitemarsh

The blaze reportedly sent someone to the hospital.

Fire struck a Whitemarsh home early this morning. 

According to an nbcphiladelphia.com story, a mattress caught on fire in a rear bedroom of a house in the unit block of Maple Drive at about 3:30 a.m. 

One person was transported to Temple University Hospital. CBS3 reported that a man suffered burns to his hands, face and torso, and that he told firefighters that a candle may have started the blaze.
