Montgomery County Child Missing Since Last Weekend

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — The family of a local teenager is asking for the public's help in locating the boy, saying he hasn't been seen since he went missing this past Saturday in Springfield Township.

Jess Perry, mother of 14-year-old Stephen Reed, posted a social media alert seeking information relating to the whereabouts of her son, who was last seen April 2 at around 5:45 p.m. leaving Carson Valley Children's Aid in Flourtown.

Reed is described as being 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing about 143 pounds, with sandy brown curly hair and dark brown eyes.

Perry wrote that her son suffers from mental health issues and that he has not gotten his prescription medication since going missing.

Thursday marks the fifth day that Reed has not been seen, Perry posted.

Perry said that local police were notified and that after 72 hours missing persons cases may get transferred over to the FBI.

"I have made social media posts to spread his picture to try to find him," Perry posted on Facebook. "He is only 14 years old. I just want my son back safely. I am asking for the public's help in trying to find him! Please SHARE."

Perry asked anyone with any information to contact the Springfield Township Police Department at 215-836-1601.
