Annual Brad Fox Memorial 5K Returned In Person This Weekend After Virtual Run Last Year

After a virtual year last year due to COVID-19, the Brad Fox 5K memorial run took place this weekend in Warminster honoring the fallen cop.

WARMINSTER, PA — The ninth annual Brad Fox memorial 5K run, which honors the Plymouth Township police officer of the same name who lost his life while on duty back in the fall of 2012 while chasing a suspect, took place this past weekend in Warminster after an in-person hiatus last year when the event was held virtually due to COVID-19.

Around 500 runners and walkers took part in the memorial event this past Saturday to honor Fox, a young K9 officer who was fatally shot in the head by a fleeing suspect along a portion of the Schuylkill River Trail in Plymouth Township back in September 2012. Fox was the first-ever officer from the Plymouth Township Police Department to be killed in the line of duty.
