Pedestrian Struck on Germantown Pike in Plymouth, Police Say
A teen was struck in front of the Plymouth Meeting Mall; he was transported to Mercy Suburban Hospital.

A Norristown woman struck a 16-year-old boy crossing Germantown Pike mid-block near the Plymouth Meeting Mall entrance, according to Plymouth Township Police.
According to the driver, Karen Wheeler, she was traveling westbound on Germantown Pike in the right turn lane, when the teen appeared in front of her vehicle, not at an intersection, and she struck him, police said.

The teen, who was wearing headphones, spun off her vehicle and continued into the Plymouth Meeting Mall parking lot, Wheeler told police.
The teen said that he crossed over Germantown Pike mid-block while traffic was stopped when Wheeler struck him in his right leg, according to police. The teen said that he felt pain in his leg, but he did not think it was serious, police said.

Two witnesses, both from Conshohocken, agreed with Wheeler’s version of events, according to police.
Plymouth Ambulance transported the teen to Mercy Suburban Hospital, and his parents were notified, police say.
