PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — A woman who worked as a supermarket pharmacist at a Montgomery County Giant grocery store who pleaded guilty this spring to charges that she had unlawful contact with a minor is scheduled to be sentenced by a state judge in early October.

Angela D'Alessandro, 33, of Plymouth Meeting, is slated to appear before Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Judge Thomas M. DelRicci on Oct. 4 to be sentenced in connection with her guilty plea from early May.

A story on 6 ABC Friday stated that D'Alessandro had worked at the Giant Pharmacy in Plymouth Meeting, which is where she reportedly met the 14-year-old victim in the fall of 2020.

The report says that D'Alessandro befriended the teenage girl after offering to help with the victim's anxiety and depression, but that D'Alessandro actually ended up getting into an improper relationship with the girl, kissing and fondling her, showering her with gifts, and professing her desire to have sex with the teen.

Court records show that in exchange for D'Alessandro's guilty plea to a felony count of unlawful contact with a minor, other charges of corruption of minors, indecent assault without consent of others, and indecent assault on a person less than 16 years of age were dismissed.

The criminal docket sheet in the case shows that D'Alessandro was originally scheduled to be sentenced in early August, but that the sentencing proceeding was cancelled for an unspecified reason.

Records show that the judge in the case also ordered D'Alessandro to undergo a sexual offender assessment prior to sentencing, and it was not immediately clear whether or not that had already taken place.

D'Alessandro has been free on bail pending sentencing.

D'Alessandro had been arrested back in January 2021 by investigators with the Whitemarsh Township Police Department after detectives received a ChildLine report alleging an underage female had inappropriate contact of a sexual nature with the defendant.
