Plymouth Community Ambulance Announces Untimely EMT Death

The ambulance association announced through social media Wednesday the death of EMT Nina Kristine Sherrard. No cause of death was given.

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — Emergency responders in Plymouth Township are mourning the untimely death of a local emergency medical technician.

The Plymouth Community Ambulance Association – Medic 308 posted to its Facebook page on Wednesday that EMT Nina Kristine Sherrard had died. The circumstances surrounding her death remain unknown at this time.

The ambulance association wrote that Sherrard was an “outstanding” EMT with the group since 2019 and was in the midst of advancing her career in emergency medical services to the paramedic realm.

“She was always eager to help those in need and was a well-liked and compassionate woman,” the ambulance associate stated in its social media post. “We ask that you keep EMT Sherrard, her family and the members of Plymouth Ambulance in your thoughts and prayers.”

Funeral arrangements have not yet been released and there does not yet appear to be an obituary for Sherrard. No age was given for Sherrard.

As of Thursday morning, there were more than 100 comments from community members, as well as a host of other area ambulance and fire companies, on the social media post.

An Internet search of Sherrard comes up with a website that appears to belong to her. In it, she states she was a multiplatform journalism major at the University of Maryland who had hoped to one day go to law school and become an attorney.

While no age was given for Sherrard, the Nina Sherrard in the website states that she was a college junior back when she blogged around 2017, which may have put her current age in her early 20s, or thereabouts, although specifics are still unknown at this time.
