Plymouth Meeting Mom Creates 'Swaddlou,' New Type Of Swaddle

Courtney Peters, of Plymouth Meeting, was recently featured on a television news spot for a new type of baby swaddle she created.

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — A local mom was recently featured in a television news spot for a Lehigh Valley station highlighting her creation of the 'Swaddlou,' which she says is an improved baby swaddle she designed to help parents like herself.

Courtney Peters was interviewed by WFMZ 69 News about her creation, which she stated was developed after becoming frustrated that her twins were getting out of their swaddle.

Both mom and kids were experiencing disruptive sleep because of this, so Peters took to the drawing board, and came up with a prototype for what she has dubbed the Swaddlou.

"I would put one twin in a swaddle that I purchased and then I put another twin in the Swaddlou prototype design and without fail, every night, the twin that was in the Swaddlou would sleep significantly longer than the twin that was in every other swaddle I tested," Peters was quoted as saying in the news segment, which aired on July 22.

Peters told the station that she eventually teamed up with Mona Lisa Fashions in Allentown to help manufacture the item.
