Plymouth Township Police Receive Grant From Norfolk Southern Corp. For Traffic Cameras
The Plymouth Township Police Dept. is the recipient of a grant from the Norfolk Southern Corp. The money will be used for traffic cameras.

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — The local police department has announced that it recently received a grant from the Norfolk Southern Corp.
Plymouth Township Police say they have been awarded a $5,000 Community Impact Grant by the Norfolk Southern Corp., money that will be used to "enhance our ability to deter, detect and solve criminal activity," the police department posted on its Facebook page.
Patch reached out to the police department and was told by Officer Mark Lacy, the department's community liaison, that the money will specifically be used for the purchase of traffic cameras that are expected to be installed in high density and high crime areas.

"Norfolk Southern Corp. has Community Impact Grant initiatives for Public Safety and First Responders, Food Banks, Healthcare/Mental Health, and Community Connections," Lacy told Patch. "They are one-time grants used to make a difference in the communities where Norfolk Southern operates."
The Norfolk Southern Corp. says it is one of the country's premier transportation rail companies, operating around 19,300 route miles in 22 states plus Washington D.C.
