Plymouth Township Council 2021 Election Results: Dems On Top

The race for three seats on the Plymouth Township Council is over, and the Democrats appeared to have the edge as of Wed. morning.

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — The township council race is over, and unofficial results show that the Democrats likely came out on top in this municipal contest.

The candidates were Democrats Karen Bramblett, who is the incumbent at-large council representative; Democrats Nicholas R.J. Whitney and Lynne Viscio for Wards 1 and 3 respectively; and the Republican candidates were Lenore Bruno, Paul DiSanto and Debbie Goldstein.

Vote totals, with all precincts reported as of Wednesday morning, showed that Bramblett won reelection, with a total of 2,480 votes to Bruno's 1,876 votes.

In the Ward 1 contest, Democrat Nicholas Whitney appeared to win with 599 votes over DiSanto's 491 votes.

And the Ward 3 race had Viscio seeming to come out on top with 865 votes to the 457 votes garnered by Goldstein.

The unofficial county results show that all in-person precincts were reported with 100 percent of the vote tallied.

The county election returns website still shows that some mail-in ballots are yet to be counted countywide. The most recent mail-in vote update was as of 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday.
