Plymouth Whitemarsh Grad Leaving Longhorns

Jaylen Bond has been granted a release from the University of Texas basketball team.

 

Plymouth Whitemarsh High School graduate Jaylen Bond will leave the University of Texas, and the Longhorn basketball program, at the end of this semester, according to Philly.com.

Bond, a 6-foot-7-inch sophomore, graduated from Plymouth Whitemarsh in 2011 and received scholarships from Temple University, St. Joseph’s University, Penn State University, and the University of Pittsburgh.

Bond averaged 2.8 points and 3.2 rebounds in 11 minutes of playing time at Texas.

There is no word on Bond’s new destination.
