Portion of Stenton to Close

Aqua Pennsylvania will close Stenton Avenue between Northwestern Avenue and Paper Mill Road in Montgomery County on weekdays starting Tuesday, Aug. 20

The road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. so Aqua may replace a water main, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

During construction, Stenton Avenue traffic will be detoured over Bethlehem Pike, Skippack Pike, Militia Hill Road and Joshua Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Back to normal? PennDOT said the closure will be in effect through early November, though the construction schedule is contingent on the weather.

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
