Prison For Montco Pharmacist Who Had Improper Contact With Girl

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — A woman who worked as a pharmacist at a local Giant supermarket was given jail time after pleading to felony-grade unlawful contact with a minor.

Angela D'Alessandro, 33, of Plymouth Meeting, learned her fate on Tuesday before Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Judge Thomas J. DelRicci when the jurist sent D'Alessandro to 9 to 23 months behind bars.

Court records in the case show that DelRicci also gave the woman three years of probation.

D'Alessandro pleaded guilty this spring to charges that she had unlawful contact with a 14-year-old girl who she met in the fall of 2020.

D'Alessandro at first offered to help the victim with her anxiety and depression but ended up getting into an improper relationship with the young girl.

Common Pleas Court records show that DelRicci also ordered D'Alessandro to stay away from the victim, comply with Megan's Law sexual offender registration requirements, and comply with the rules of probation, including possible electronic monitoring after her eventual release from prison.

Records also show that DelRicci ordered D'Alessandro to serve out the first 60 days of her incarceration at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, with the remaining portion of the sentence served under house arrest "with ability to see physicians and continue current treatment."

Court records further show that on Thursday, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office filed a motion for a reconsideration of the sentence.
