Project Harmony Israel Fundraiser Planned at PWHS

The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and will benefit a summer camp for Israeli and Arab children in Jerusalem, co-founded by a PWHS graduate.

Plymouth Whitemarsh High School (PWHS) grads are holding a fundraising concert on Wednesday night to raise money for Project Harmony Israel, a summer camp founded by a PWHS graduate.

Project Harmony Israel is a four-week English-Language summer camp that “aims to create a safe social space for Arab and Jewish children from Jerusalem to relate to one another in the most basic way,” according to the website.

Lexie Tabachnick, PWHS Class of 2008, and Meg Sullivan, founded the Project Harmony Israel in 2009 with 15 campers; it has since grown to roughly 40.

Mariel Tabachnick, Michelle Ferguson and Sanjana Venkat organized the fundraiser, modeled after a similar concert last year to raise money for a scholarship fund.
