PWHS Student to Have Story Aired on Radio
The Plymouth Whitemarsh High School student's piece will air Sunday

Plymouth Whitemarsh High School senior Samantha Schwartz will have a news story air on KYW Newsradio 1060 on Sunday shortly after 7:20 p.m. The piece, written and produced by Schwartz, is about 30 seconds long and focuses on the dilemma of coming to school sick and possibility of getting others sick.
Schwartz is participating in the new station’s Newsstudies Student Reporter program, which has been giving high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a major-market radio station since 1968.
Students attend the station’s studios for four to six Saturdays during the semester to learn about news writing, reporting, ethics and interviewing skills from the station’s managers, editors and reporters; they then research, write and record news stories about their school and community.
